***************************

It’s December 23rd, and Ford Barton’s goals are quite simple: watch Kevin McCallister torment some home invaders, laugh as Buddy the Elf berates a drunk mall Santa, and cheer as Hans Gruber falls from Nakatomi Plaza.

You know, the usual fare for Christmas Movie Night.

But the night already has the feel of a Griswold fever dream. The family cat is speed-running through its nine lives. An Amazon delivery driver is acting out a personal vendetta against the front door. And a well-intentioned gift triggers an emergency evacuation right in the middle of It’s a Wonderful Life.

Then there are the guests.

A tuxedoed astrophysicist, a former Crimson Tide linebacker dressed as Hermey the Elf, and a sullen brute with skin the color of curdled milk mingle with a house full of family and friends. But at least one of them isn't who he claims to be.

Someone has come to collect a debt. And no amount of holiday cheer or sugary desserts is going to stop him.

Ford and his family don't yet realize the danger they're in. But if the party crasher doesn't get what he's after before the evening's final credits roll, this may be the last Christmas Movie Night ever.
